IXPER^® 35M, Magnesium Peroxide is a fine white and odorless powder which is slightly soluble in water.  It contains a minimum of 35 % Magnesium peroxide, the balance being made up mainly of Magnesium oxide.

IXPER^® 35M, Magnesium Peroxide reacts slowly in contact with water with the generation of oxygen and heat.

2 MgO₂ + 2 H₂O à 2 Mg(OH)₂ + O₂

and contributes then to a long availability of oxygen where it is used.  The rate of gaseous oxygen generation is influenced by the physical and chemical properties of the surrounding medium such as pH, and temperature.

When IXPER^® 35M, Magnesium Peroxide is exposed to a lower pH, it can generate increasing amounts of hydrogen peroxide
