IXPER^®  C is used as a source of oxygen in aluminothermic processes and in other metallurgical processes. Adding IXPER^® C to aluminothermic mixtures facilitates ignition at low temperatures.

3 CaO₂ + 2 Al  ==> Al₂O₃. 3 CaO  + 385 Kcal

2 CaO₂ + 2 Al ==>  Ca  +  CaO . Al₂O₃  + 273 Kcal

The temperature of the smelt is increased,

• making it easier to separate the slag from the metal
• reducing the porosity in the casting

	IXPER® 60C Minimum content of 60 % Calcium Peroxide
	IXPER® 75C Minimum content of 75 % Calcium Peroxide
